All 10 grantees of the 2011 IFRA-Nigeria & French Embassy in Ghana Field Research Grant took part in a conference organized on October 28, 2011 at the Maison Française, Department of Modern Languages Annex, University of Ghana-Legon. They all presented data emerging from field work conducted with the support of the grant. Each PPT presentation lasted 10-15 minutes after which they interacted with scholars and member of the audience. All grantees are currently engaged in a Master Programme in a Ghanaian University.
Prof. Mansah-Prah (UCC), Dr. John Tiah Bugri (KNUST), Dr. Benjamin Kankpenyeng (UG) and Dr. Gérard Chouin (IFRA-Nigeria) participated to this event, which was declared open by Mr. Arnaud Dornon, Director of the Institut Français in Ghana. The presence of Dr. Sothenes Kwadzo Kufogbe, Senior Lecturer in Remote Sensing/GIS at the Department of Geography and Resource Development at the University of Ghana, as well as Julie Briand, director of the Maison Française, was also noted.
